The human resource lady at an old job did this to me once. AND I WILL NEVER FORGET IT.

I was waiting for another co-worker to finish putting mail through the machine so he could walk over to storage (because you had to take a buddy) and he was the only one in the room. So she walks in and goes why don’t you go with “so and so” and I turn around and there totally was another co-worker behind us. NINJA CO-WORKER. So she explains to me that I should “think outside the box” next time. I was so horrified. I could not believe she ACTUALLY used her hands to draw a box in front of me. SO OF COURSE I HAD TO RUN AND TELL EVERYONE MY AMAZING STORY.

I’m not an interesting person.

edit haha ok the fact that people use their her hands doesn't bother me. Its that shes actually using her hands to draw a damn box because SAYING "think outside the box" wasn't enough of a dumb thing to say to me. office jobs are retarded and corporate people say shit like this all the time. Its not helpful or motivational! It just makes workers feel stupid! I'm glad this is really the only time she talked like that to any of us including me. Which is why it was extra amazing when she bothered to use her hands.
